As some of you might know:
Due to poor design in the original Game Boy's screen, it gradually loses vertical strands of pixels starting with the sides and moving inward over time. This is due mostly to the addressing cable that connects the screen with the board coming loose with age. Applying pressure to where the cable connects with the screen helps somewhat, but not completely.
Since I have three GB originals plagued with screen lines, I've been trying to fully restore each one to complete working condition. Since the pressure trick doesn't seem to work for similar areas of the screen between the three hand-helds I have, I need to know: What other problems can cause an original Game Boy to lose vertical pixel strands in its screen?
